The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

--

This book described badly: an equal-opportunity employer encourages its diverse workforce to self-actualization.

A beautiful book. It achieves what the best books should do: it opens doors in your imagination and helps you see the world in different ways.

It’s about the titular Night Circus, which travels around in magical ways and changes people’s lives in real ways. The relatable characters are beset by realizations of what follow us out of dreams and live just out of sight — in shadows and at the edges of your peripheral vision.

A romance and a family drama.

It might not even be a fantasy, the way it feels. It’s more a walk into liminality.

A pretty book. Thanks for making it, Erin.
